YouTube Now Supports HDR Videos

YouTube has added a new feature that supports high dynamic range (HDR) videos, announced via its official blog post on Monday.

This feature aim at YouTuber's to watch more accurate range of colors, benefit from deeper blacks and brighter whites that HDR brings.

To watch HDR images and videos on any display, you’ll need to buy a screen that supports HDR specifications. Most of the latest TVs support HDR and 4K, which naturally equates to a high price point.

If you do have a TV that supports HDR, then you can try out HDR on YouTube via a HDR Blu-ray player, the Xbox One S, and the PlayStation 4 Pro (upcoming) or the Chromecast Ultra. Google mentioned that YouTube HDR support would soon roll out to Samsung’s 2016 4K TVs as well.

So to have fun watching with HDR or 4K videos at home then you may have to shift to high-end screens rather than buying old featured screens.
