Xiaomi Launches Amazfit Smartwatch In China

Following quite a while of gossipy tidbits and renders, Xiaomi has finally launched its first ever smartwatch - Amazfit. Xiaomin as a team with Huami, the same startup company which has manufactured the Mi Band. The Mi smartwatch highlights a custom software that can track various activities, mirror a bunch of limited notifications like calls, messages and and that's only the tip of the iceberg.
The Xiaomi Amazfit smartwatch flaunts a round dial on the front and a thick ceramic bezel surrounding it. The wristband is replaceable and allows appending any 22nm strap to the watch. Moreover, Amazfit comes with water repellent and dust resistant feature. It also includes a GPS sensor which assists in better location tracking and distance calculation for workouts.
Coming to specifications, Amazfit comes with a 1.34 inch display, 512MB of RAM, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 280mAh battery, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and 4GB of internal storage. The device also has a heart rate monitoring system on the back which is prepared to do always monitoring your heart’s beat. In addition, keeping the region-specific target audience in mind, Xiaomi has included on-the-go Alibaba’s mobile payment service, AliPay.
Xiaomi claims that Amazfit can last up to 5 days on a single charge when GPS turned constantly. In case you’re just tracking steps than device can go up to 11.6 days. Every activity and workout will be synced with the MiFit app installed on your smartphone.
The device will be sold online beginning from tomorrow at a cost of 799 Yuan (around $120) in China. Yet, the company has not yet revealed when the device will be launched outside China.
