How To Mute Browser Tab

Most of the users worried about the annoying sound blasting from an auto-play promotion, which is one of the web's most noteworthy disturbance. How would you mute one without the other? Luckily, there are few simple tips available to stop those sounds.

Most of the browsers now let you mute tabs manually, just have a look on how to mute your browsers.

Enable Mute Tab Feature in Chrome

Right click on the tab to Mute Tab or try this tip and get ride of the sounds you hear from your browser tab.

Go to chrome://flags/ in a new tab.
Use Ctrl+F and search for mute.
Tap disable to enable the feature.
Click Relaunch Now.
That's it.

By doing this your browser will relaunch again with the open tabs, just like before. Now you need to hit the speaker icon showing on the tab strip to mute the tab. And if you want you can disable the feature.

Enable Mute Mode in Firefox

This is a very simple feature that Firefox has included. You don't need to follow the above procedure like Chrome. You just need to click on Speaker icon to mute the tab.
