Reliance Jio Welcome Offer Extended Till March 2017

Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd has confirmed that it has crossed a mark of 50 million subscribers count in just 83 days from day of services on September 5, 2016.

The chairman of Reliance, Mukesh Ambani has announced today that the welcome offer will be extended and also announced a new ‘Jio Happy New Year Offer’ that gives free data, voice calling, national roaming and more till March 31, 2016.

Mukesh Ambani has told these words at the event,

I am delighted to share that Jio customers are making the most of the Jio Welcome Offer that we launched in September, 2016. On average, a Jio customer is using 25 times more data than the average Indian broadband user.

We are in the process of doubling this network to 4 Lakh digitally enabled outlets by March, 2017. Jio’s network is built for capacity and speed, but with 50 million customers using the free Jio Welcome Offer, we have faced a few issues with data speed on our network.

Now every new Jio customers will get their Unlimited Data, Voice, Video. WiFi, Jio applications and other content absolutely free under "Jio Happy New Year Offer", till 31st March 2017. And all the old "Jio Welcome Offer" customers will continue to enjoy their unlimited benefits till 31st December, 2016 and will be migrated automatically to the new offer from 1st January, 2017. All the new offer details will be available on MyJio and on Jio.com.

Today, with the JioMoney application, every Indian has access to pay bills via a Digital money wallet that is linked to their bank account. To enable digital transactions, Jio is building a digital retail ecosystem which we are calling as "JioMoney Merchant Solutions". This will enable digital transactions of all types - Mandis, Small shops, Restaurants, Railway ticket counters, Transportation in Bus, Mass transit and even from person-to-person money transfers.

Starting from 5th of December, every merchant can download the JioMoney Merchant Application on their 4G LTE enabled smartphone to pay or do any transactions. Apart from this, Jio is planning to launch number portability service soon.
