WhatsApp To No Longer Support On Older Devices

This would be a heartbreaking news for the older devices, if you want to continue using WhatsApp. then you need to upgrade your device. The company has recently announced that the messaging platform will no longer be functional on older devices.
WhatsApp wrote in its blog.
As per report, about 70 percent of the smartphones are sold at the time BlackBerry and Nokia had operating systems offered. And when we look ahead to the next seven years, we want to focus on majority of people who use the latest devices.
And by the end of 2016, WhatsApp Messenger will be ending support for the following mobile platforms such as Android 2.1, Android 2.2, BlackBerry OS, BlackBerry 10, iPhone 3GS/iOS 6, Nokia S40, Nokia Symbian S60, and Windows phone 7.
According to the company, these mobile devices do not offer the requirements to expand their app’s features in the future. However, extended support for BlackBerry OS, BlackBerry 10, Nokia S40 and Nokia Symbian S60 until June 30, 2017. But the rest supporting devices mentioned above will end in less than a month’s time period.
