Flipkart has introduced a new feature for the safety of their field executives or Wishmasters on Wednesday, Project Nanjunda. This feature enables them to raise an alarm in case of any emergency while delivering the products.
The project has been named as 'Nanjunda', in the name of Wishmaster Nanjunda Swamy who was found murdered at Vijayanagar in Bengaluru recently.
Nitin Seth - COO of Flipkart said,
Flipkart Wishmasters are the backbone of our business, delivering products daily to millions of customers across India. To ensure their safety our team have worked relentlessly to create this feature in less than a month.
The Wishmasters mobile phones will be equipped with an app that features an SOS button, called Nanjunda. And during any emergency the Wishmaster can push the 'Nanjunda' button, then a trigger will be sent as a SMS and email notification to the hub-in-charge and nearest field executives.
Additionally, the company claims that to operate this feature it just requires only mobile network connectivity.
