Instagram Rolls Out Geostickers Feature On Its Stories

Instagram is a photo sharing app that has now introduced geostickers, a feature that Snapchat had introduced in August last year. Instagram users can now be able to tag images and videos in Instagram Stories with geostickers.

This feature let people to know where the photos and videos were taken. This feature is only available in two locations across the world - Jakarta and New York. There are city-based stickers at this moment, but more stickers are going to be added for neighbourhoods. The Facebook-owned service says each one of these custom location geostickers is designed to match the vibe of the location it represents.

When users tap the stickers in Instagram Stories from these two cities, they will notice location-specific options at the top of the menu and new geostickers will take viewers to the map of that spot. So that they can see photos and videos from other users, this feature is available in Instagram v10.11 for Android and iOS.

In January, Instagram announced ads coming to its Stories that will help the business to use targeting and reach capabilities that make ads personally relevant to the people.
