Google Paid $2.9 Million Rewards In 2017, Know Why?

Google has revealed its giveaway report for the year 2017 under Vulnerability Reward Program. The rewards were announced for the years 2014, 2015 and 2016.
Google thanks on its blog to the Security Research Community that helped its users and the products to become more secure. And says that its going to continue the Rewards Program for the 2018 and so on.
Among $2.5 million, Google has paid $1.1 million each rewarded for Google and Android Vulnerabilities. The company says it has almost rewarded $12 million since the program was founded in the year 2010.
