Pokemon Go is busy working on a new feature which gives you a chance to add Buddy Pokemon close by your trainer avatar on your profile screen.

Niantic says,

It's been a busy summer and in addition to battling bots and fixing bugs, we have are also busy working on some new features for our Pokemon Go trainers.

Recently, Pokemon Go released a new Pokemon Appraisal feature, which helps trainers identify which Pokemon has the most potential for battle. And now, the team confirms that the new feature is going to be released soon for all the Pokemon trainers.

The new feature will allow you to pick your most loved Pokemon from the collection to become your buddy, opening up uniqueness in-game rewards and experiences. As said above, Buddy Pokemon Go will show up nearby your trainer avatar on the profile screen, including helpful bonuses, such as, giving Candy for walking together.

Pokemon Go trainers can also change their Buddy Pokemon at whatever point they want after getting this new feature on their app.
