Xiaomi's has launched a variety of products in China, covering everything from smartphones to home appliances. However, in India, the company is known just for its smartphones and mobile accessories.

Xiaomi is planning to change thoughts of Indians by launching Mi Air Purifier 2 on 21 September, in India. Xiaomi also wants to bring many other products to India this year which includes Air Purifier 2, Mi Band 2, and Mi Box.

Manu Jain, the company's India head, tweeted about the launch being Live Streamed.
Xiaomi is likely to launch the second version of its air purifier, which is a more compact and productive than the first version. It can clean the air in a 250 square feet room in 10 minutes.

The Mi Air Purifier 2 can be controlled by using a smartphone and uses a brushless DC motor for better performance and less erosion. Xiaomi promises that it can clean 99.7 percent of small dust particles in a room.

The purifier additionally uses an axial flow fan that expands the velocity with which the natural air is conveyed. Accordingly, odors, for example, those caused by tobacco smoke or any other dissipate quickly.

The air purifier, which is WiFi linked, has different modes that can be changed through the application from your Phone, Tablet or PC. It can likewise identify your nearness and can switch off when you go out. It likewise takes in your dozing examples and changes the modes in like manner. 

The device has a very low power utilization of 0.12 W/h and works unobtrusively at 30 dB in the sleep mode. In China, the price of the Mi Air Purifier is CNY 699 (around Rs 7,000 i.e. $100), so the expected price in India could be around CNY 999 (around Rs. 10000 i.e. $150).
