LG G3 Spotted With Android 7.0 Nougat On Geekbench

Back in mid-2014, the LG G3 was originally hit the market and hailed as a great device. In fact, it’s still perform great and perfectly serviceable till date. Many consumers are still continuing to enjoy the benefits of LG’s - more than two-year-old phablet.

The Korean electronics manufacturer company is well-aware of that fact and it seems that the company is getting ready to send a notification to all of the G3 owners worldwide. Recently, it was spotted on Geekbench that LG is testing the new Android 7.0 Nougat on its G3 smartphone.

That’s right! LG G3 device was initially launched with Android 4.4.2 KitKat, later got upgraded to Android 5.0 and 5.1 Lollipop and then got upgraded to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Now could soon launching the upgrade via OTA to all its consumers.

LG G3 With Android 7.0 Nougat On Geekbench Results

The Geekbench test shows a score of 929 on a single-core while its multi-core performance shows 2977. It generally, it seems like it can handle Android 7.0 Nougat easily.

If LG really does end up updating the G3 to Nougat, then LG would be pushing as many of its Android devices up to Nougat as possible. Regardless of that, there would lend support to the assumption that the LG G4 and LG G5 will also be receiving an upgrade Android 7.0 to Nougat in due course. LG will hopefully make an official announcement on the matter soon.

Coming to the specs of the LG G3, it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 Quad-Core processor, 2GB/3GB of RAM and a 16GB/32GB of internal storage. It has a 13MP rear camera with laser autofocus and a 2.1MP camera on the front. There are many other features included in the device to compete the latest smartphones available in the market.
