BlackBerry Launches Android-Based DTEK Series Smartphones In India

BlackBerry has launched the new Andriod based DTEK series smartphones - DTEK50 and DTEK60 in the Indian market on Monday at an event in New Delhi.
Coming to specifications, the DTEK50 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 Octa-core processor with Adreno 405 GPU whereas the DTEK60 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 quad-core processor with Adreno 530 GPU. Both DTEK50 and the DTEK60 features a QHD scratch and smudge resistant displays with 5.2 inch and 5.5-inch screen.
The DTEK50 has 3GB of RAM and 16GB of memory, while the DTEK60 comes with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory. Both the phones support fingerprint and expandable storage of up to 2TB via microSD card slot.
The DTEK50 smartphone sports a 13MP camera on the rear with f/2.0 aperture, autofocus and dual-tone dual-LED flash alongside an 8MP front-facing camera with LED flash. The DTEK60 smartphone has a 21MP rear camera with same features of DTEK50.
Both the phones run Android 6.0 Marshmallow and other specs include same as the BlackBerry Priv.
These phones support single SIM only with 4G LTE. The DTEK50 is packed by a 2,610mAh battery, whereas the DTEK60 has a 3,000mAh battery with the support of Quick Charge 2.0 & 3.0 respectively.
BlackBerry has teamed up with Optiemus Infracom Limited to sell its smartphones in India at a price of Rs 21,990 (DTEK50 ) and Rs 46,990 (DTEK60) respectively.
